OzHarvest Founder is Volunteer of the Year

15 April 2010

We’d like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ronni Khan, founder of OzHarvest, who has been named Australian Volunteer of the Year 2010.

OzHarvest is a not-for-profit organisation that rescues unwanted food from restaurants, retailers, food outlets and corporate kitchens across Sydney, Canberra and Wollongong to feed communities at risk.

Volunteers from the Sydney office spent some time with OzHarvest last year packaging and delivering food to residents of the Northcott Community Housing Centre in Surry Hills.  It was a meaningful experience for those who participated and we hope to repeat the experience this year.
